We have fallen in love with the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema in Rio de Janiero. On the weekends the crowds spill in and you are lucky to find a spot on the sand. The chaos of colors and beautiful people walking the beach is enough for anyone to want to come back!
When did you guys arrive in Brazil? Hope you have a nice stay. And be sure to look over the cliches (Rio, samba, carnaval).
We just arrived a few days ago. Any recommendations?
If you guys are going to the northeast, be sure to visit Natal and Pipa. There are very nice beaches around there.
Even though I havent’t gone there yet, the Cataratas de Foz de Iguaçu are worth visiting too.
It looks like you two made good researches before traveling to the previous countries. Therefore, you won’t have problems finding your way around.
If you are coming to Brasilia let me know. It’s a very unusual city (planned, with very wide spaces).
Good trip!
Good advice, we’ll have to keep that in mind for when we return. For some reason or another, we greatly underestimated the sheer size of Brasil. We thought about Cataratas de Foz de Iguaçu, but aren’t sure if we can afford it, especially with the new secret destination we’ve added to the trip (shhh….)
Josh and Caroline, have been enjoying your posts very much along with the great pictures. It’s nice to see that you are now only 2 hours ahead of me since you landed in Brazil. Take care, love
The time difference is definitely much easier on us now. Thanks for keeping up with our posts!
Gorgeous picture! I love all the red.
I am in love with the red umbrellas – they make the beach come alive in Rio!
