Plane. Air-con, food, drink, and sleep are all possibilities. I’ve been on both for over 10 hours and I greatly prefer planes, hands down. Buses are notorious (in my experience) for being hot.

I agree with Mary. The convenience level is just better on a plane.

Both are debatable!
See this question very much depends on whether or not you are flying budget or major international carriers. If we’re talking about Air Asia – bus is the way. However, if we’re talking about Qatar or Qantas – hands down – flying.
I mean, who doesn’t love free booze and food.

I’d have to go with plane. Generally more leg room (Jim actually refuses to travel by bus!), snacks and drinks, and with any luck a pick-your-channel tv. You’re good to go! I wish I had a 10 hour flight coming up!! 🙂

Plane! I find planes just more comfortable in general. Plus Im going to get further in 10 hours on a plane than 10 hours on a bus will take me.

Definitely a bus. I realise I am alone in this decision… understandable if you can just sit back and watch three movies but for me 10hrs on a plane means ten hours of hell… vomiting, claustrophobia and just hell, it’s like psycological torture as much as physical, bus wins hands down, I may still get a little sick if I read a book but nothing like planes and I feel way less claustrophobic and trapped, plus if you’re travelling in the day you can look out the window and let your mind wander 🙂

It depends. Obviously, cost plays a bit. But a 10-hour overnight bus ride is fine as I would be able to save money on accommodation.
