When you are traveling through Madrid and burnt out on tapas, spend an afternoon or evening devouring some NYC, or in Madrid En Guay Si, goodness. This is exactly what we did. Don’t get me wrong, we loved every bite of jamón ibérico and churros dipped in chocolate that we could get our hands on, but every now and then you need a greasy slice of pizza with a cold beer to hit the spot.
After studying the art of pizza in New York City, the owners of En Guay Si Pizza opened up a pizza joint in Madrid. I’m no expert on NYC pizza, but my father who was born in New York joined us for this trip and he vouched that the pizza was pretty darn close to the real thing!
The atmosphere is very casual, inside you will find only a few high tables and bar stools. Most people will order the pizza for take out or if you show up late night you will find a long line down the street for late night munchies by the slice.
The pizza is huge (and thin) in true NYC fashion, in addition to the crust and sauce tasting like perfection!
…and what’s a good pizza without a refreshing beer to wash it down?
Where to find this delicious pizza in Madrid.
As always in Spain there is a menu del día ready for you to enjoy!
I’ll give you one last look at the delicious pizza waiting for you at En Guay Si.
